Alignment Captured Through A Different Lens
Friday, October 14, 2011 at 01:12PM
Good photographers know it takes different lenses to best capture what they want the viewer to experience through each picture. Imagination can flow when the photographer’s passion is coupled with the right lens (or tools) and the perfect environment. Today we are switching lenses to gain a different perspective on the Alignment Conference... the perspective of the conference seen through the lens of our speakers. After all, it’s the passion of the speakers, the best tools for alignment and an environment of learning and encouraging that makes the conference what it is.
Here is what Brad Leeper, President of Generis and returning speaker at the Alignment Conference on Oct 27th had to say.
Why does the Alignment Conference capture my imagination?
- Churches that courageously move forward in their mission are there.
- Church leaders have their imagination stretched with some of the best innovation around.
- Churches link the connection between their mission and accelerating generosity. Being well funded means greater mission impact.
- Life change flows from churches that appropriately align the hearts of their people, generosity, and the church mission.
- I get to hang around people who dare to believe and take risks in their calling.
- It is amazing to see lights turn on when church leaders find a new pathway in their project.
- Good pizza in the neighborhood.

I appreciate Brad's reasons. Here's a few more:
- It's a privilege to share how other ministry leaders are freeing the spirit to have a big impact.
- It's valuable to learn from our guests how God is working through them.
- It's a blessing to contribute to the Kingdom impact.
- It's always inspiring to be around leaders and big impact people.
- Leaders are learners....its an intense learning environment!
See you there...
Ed
-I speak because I know that one of the best ways I can serve in the Kingdom is to cross-pollinate lessons learned from one church leader to another.
-I get to keep my finger on the pulse of what church leaders are asking...seeking...and this helps my team serve them better.
-This is the size gathering I like - enough people for some energy in the room, but small enough that we can have some real interaction OFF the platform.
-Free WiFi.
-Another batch of hotel shampoo/soaps to bring home to the family.
I love the metaphor you used in this post. I think it's what people need right now. A leader that will show them the right lessons that will inspire people.
Thanks for your comment Halley. Our speakers are so committed to helping church leaders.
