General Sneak Preview of the Moraine Postcard
Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 02:02PM
Once again I'm pleased to present the completion of another exciting Aspen Project -- the renovation/expansion of Moraine Valley Church! On Monday we'll be mailing a postcard to churches throughout Illinois and Indiana highlighting the project. You can get a sneak preview at the Downloads section of this blog.
As noted in previous posts, we were privileged to help MVC design and build a renovation of their sanctuary and an expansion of new lobby and cafe space. There are several pictures in the Photo Gallery for you to check out.
One of the exciting stories that came out of the planning phase of this project was the way new research from the Cornerstone Knowledge Network was applied in the design. In 2007 we completed a research project in which formerly unchurched people were asked which parts of the church facility were their favorite. The sanctuary came out on top of the list. Armed with this information, the project team re-prioritized the master plan. The outcome: a significant increase in the level of support from the congregation!
So here's the deal, CKN does the research, Aspen applies it in real life!
Watch the mail for your postcard!
